Robbs Life - Robb's Funeral April 23, 1996
Robb Dussliere's funeral was held on April 23, 1996 -- www.robbslife.org. This is the final story in the year-long series that was reported, shot, written and edited by Ken Gullette for WHBF-TV in the Quad Cities (Iowa/Illinois). The series aired weekly from April 1995 until Robb's death in April 1996. It raised awareness about AIDS and opened a lot of eyes on the issue of gay people, and how they are no different than any of us. The series won several awards -- from the Associated Press in both Illinois and Iowa, from the state of Illinois, and from Planned Parenthood. You can still help keep Robb's legacy alive by donating to the DeLaCerda House, which Robb helped to launch and which is still providing shelter and support to homeless clients who are battling HIV and AIDS. Go to www.delacerdahouseinc.org to donate.
