Rookie Taylor Tinsley pitched a complete-game shutout in her professional debut and the Utah Talons (6-3) broke open a close contest with a three-run fifth inning to secure an 8-0 victory over the Texas Volts (1-7) in Athletes Unlimited Softball League action at Dell Diamond on Saturday evening. After taking a 2-0 lead in the opening frame, the Talons added three more runs in the fifth inning to pull away from the Volts. A single by utility player Kailey Wyckoff upped the margin to 3-0 before outfielder Caroline Jacobsen added a sacrifice fly. Utility player Sahvanna Jaquish completed the three-run outburst with an RBI infield single.
