2014-10-09 Basket Illusion Platter by Harvey Meyer (Part 1)
Harvey Meyer uses an assortment of tools and techniques on a lathe in addition to pyrography to create faux basket platters. A platter is turned in a traditional manner. Along the way, beads are applied with a special tool and the groove is burned in. After segmenting the piece by marking with an indexing wheel, pyrography is applied and the basket design is inked in with India ink.
