Hymn - Cover by KaTo - Original by Barclay James Harvest

An intimate and heartfelt acoustic-duo version of “Hymn”, inspired by the classic 1977 ballad by Barclay James Harvest. With two voices, acoustic instrumentation, and a stripped-back, organic arrangement, we wanted to bring this powerful track back to its raw emotional and spiritual core. Written by John Lees, the song famously uses rich biblical imagery—valleys deep, high mountains, and the life of Christ— a reflection on faith and the search for deeper meaning. “Hymn” has long been a masterpiece of melodic rock and acoustic storytelling, leaving a massive legacy across Europe, including legendary performances like the 1980 concert at the Reichstag in Berlin. Its soaring melody and timeless message of longing, boundaries, and looking toward "the other side" have made it a favorite for generations of listeners. This cover is our tribute to that beautiful lineage: simple, direct, handmade music — somewhere between folk, singer-songwriter, and acoustic storytelling.
