John Addo Kufuor, also known as Chief Kufuor is a Ghanaian businessman and the son of the former President, John Kufuor, was born and partly raised in the United Kingdom. He is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) of over 30 years standing and worked in the UK telecoms industry for companies such as British Telecom and One2One for several companies before joining PwC (UK) as a Management Consultant and senior manager in 1998. He left PwC in 2002 to found The African Regent in 2004. The African Regent Hotel which has been operational for 16 years is one of Accra’s top hotels and arguably the foremost local brand in its competitive set. John holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of Greenwich and an MBA from The University of Wales.
