Built under the Central Government's 'Bharatmala Pariyojna' scheme at a cost exceeding ₹2,000 crores, this 90 km stretch entirely bypasses the heavily congested urban traffic zones of Krishnagiri and Hosur. The new route cuts down the travel distance by 25 km and saves up to an hour of travel time, while also featuring specialized service lanes and eco-friendly wildlife underpasses near Sanamavu forest.
