Oberstdorf und ein wenig Ultramarsch #extremwandern #oberstdorf #hitzewelle

I had originally planned to participate in the Oberstdorf Ultra March. However, due to the extreme heat, the start time was moved forward to 4:00 AM, so I decided not to start. Around 200 other participants also decided not to start. Since I was already there and we had paid for our tickets, I decided to walk with Nina and Marcel to aid station 1 and at least enjoy the delicious cake. At the aid station, we met Sebastian, and he suggested we run the rest of the route. I thought about it briefly and then agreed. Tobi also joined us, as he had only started at 6:00 AM because he hadn't known the start time had been moved forward. In the end, we covered almost 50 kilometers with 1500 meters of elevation gain, which wasn't a problem thanks to the excellent refreshments at the aid stations. Unfortunately, we had to tackle the steepest climb in the midday sun… our own fault 😂. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers at the aid stations. And now, enjoy the video!
