VW radio station database with logos free update

How to update radio station database in Volkswagen with #MIB2 based Composition Media, Discover Media, and Discover Pro infotainment systems. You need to #download free update package from VW website, extract it to root directory of and empty SD card or USB thumb drive, place it in your infotainment unit. Then turn the ignition on, go to MENU, Setup, System Information, and Software Update button at the bottom of the display. Installation will take 1-2 minutes, after which you will be asked to reboot the system. Once it's done you can use updated radio station logo database. Notice that old logos associated with your radio presets will be gone, and you will have to reassign your favorite stations.to bring back those logos. Older generation of infotainment units (based on the MIB1 technology) does not have embedded logo database, but you can use set of predefined logos. Just download the container from Volkswagen website by selecting country that you are interested in, extract to SD card or USB drive, connect to your infotainment system, and from the RADIO, Setup, Station Logos, set desired picture to your favorite radio stations.
