It's an area we can't see, but we can sometimes hear the sounds of Gentaro and Kintaro playing. Kintaro got angry and screamed while playing, so Momotaro got worried and came out of the room to check on him. Momotaro can't go to where Gentaro and Kintaro are, so he watches them through the fence. We've seen similar scenes several times.
