Kapolres Buton Resmikan SPPG Polri di Siompu, Dukung Program Makan Bergizi Gratis

Buton Police Public Relations – Buton Police Chief, AKBP Ali Rais Ndraha., S.H., S.I.K., M.M.Tr., accompanied by the Chairperson of the Buton Branch of the Bhayangkari, Mrs. Viera Ali Rais, inaugurated the National Police Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) at Dapur Lapara, Siompu District, South Buton Regency, on Wednesday (May 13, 2026). The SPPG inauguration demonstrates the National Police's support for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, which aims to improve the nutritional quality of the community, especially children in the archipelago, and support the realization of a healthy generation towards Indonesia Emas 2045. At the event, the Buton Police Chief was accompanied by the Chairperson of the Buton Branch of the Bhayangkari and Chairperson of the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation of the Buton Police, Mrs. Viera Ali Rais. Also in attendance were the Head of the PPG for Southeast Sulawesi Province, Mulyadi, SKM., M.Kes., representatives from the South Buton Regency Government, members of the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob), the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), regional government agencies (OPD), banking institutions, community leaders, and SPPG volunteers. The Head of the Buton Branch of the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation stated that the SPPG program is a long-term investment to produce a healthy, intelligent, and strong generation. "Every ingredient we process, every spice we mix, and every package we distribute carries the hope of producing a healthy, intelligent, and strong generation," he said. Meanwhile, the Regent of South Buton, through Assistant I of the Busel Regional Secretariat, expressed his appreciation to the National Police (Polri) for the presence of the SPPG in Siompu District. He stated that nutrition is a crucial factor in shaping the quality of human resources in the future. "Synergy between the local government, the Polri, health workers, and all elements of society is essential for this program to run optimally and sustainably," he said. The Head of the Southeast Sulawesi PPG (Sultra Food and Nutrition Group) program, Mulyadi, explained that the beneficiaries of the MBG program in Siompu and West Siompu Districts reached approximately 4,500 to 4,600 people. Therefore, his office is encouraging the addition of new SPPGs in the region. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration with farmer groups, fishermen, MSMEs, village cooperatives, and village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) in supporting the MBG program's raw material supply chain to stimulate the local economy. Furthermore, 90 percent of SPPG volunteers are known to come from the local community of Siompu District. In his remarks, the Buton Police Chief emphasized that public service must be maximized as a form of the state's presence within the community. "This is where the state is present; the National Police are present for the community," the Police Chief emphasized. The Police Chief also stated that the free nutritious meal program is a strategic step in developing a healthy generation while preventing stunting. He also stated his readiness to follow up on the proposal to build an additional SPPG unit in West Siompu District. "We will discuss this again and report it to the leadership at the Regional Police so that this hope can be realized," he said. Following the inauguration, the Buton Police Chief and his entourage continued their visit to SMPN 1 Siompu, one of the target beneficiaries of the Buton Police's SPPG Polri program.
