Kosovo. Goranis - Highlanders without land 1/2. Sept. 2005
Documentary film by RTS journalist Svetlana Vukmirovic Watch part 2 here: • Kosovo. Goranis - Highlanders without land... This documentary film is about the Gorani, an ethnic minority living in a remote area of Kosovo-Metohija which borders with Albania and Macedonia. This area known as Gora and Dragas is extremely unsafe since the border towards Albania is open and criminal groups frequently enter Gorani villages and seize property; bomb attacks and other forms of violence are not uncommon. Since the arrival of the UNMIK and the KFOR on June 10, 1999, some 8,000 Gorani left their homes, and more than 20 were kidnapped and killed.
