Canada Has Lava Beds?! Exploring a Volcano Near Terrace, BC

Did you know Canada has a massive volcanic landscape?? Just a short drive from Terrace BC, you’ll find one of the most incredible natural wonders in the country: the Nisga'a Lava Beds. This isn't just a scenic stop; it’s the site of one of Canada's most recent (and deadliest) volcanic eruptions. In this video, we explore the vast lava beds of Anhluut’ukwsim Laxmihl Angwinga’asanskuhl Nisga’a (Nisga’a Memorial Lava Beds Provincial Park). We’ll walk through the eerie, moon-like terrain, share the powerful history of the Nisga'a people, and show you why this volcano in Canada is a must-see destination if you’re visiting Northern BC. 🎬 In this Episode: 00:00 Welcome to the Nisga'a Memorial Auto Tour 01:06 Crater Creek Trail 04:20 The Drowned Forest 06:15 Bauepre Falls 07:38 Vetter Falls 12:30 Nisga'a Visitor Centre 14:11 Thank you for watching! 14:53 Bloopers 🔔 Subscribe and join us for more real & raw travel vlogs! 🚐 Join us on our nomadic journey! We’re Storm & Dalton — aka The Nomadic Sweethearts! We live nomadically, travelling full-time in our 22’ trailer with our two dogs, Minnie and Drogo! We were living "normal" corporate lives when the pandemic hit, and like many others, our jobs became remote. We were stuck in a frozen suburban neighbourhood in Ontario, Canada, for months and just about went mad. We decided to make a drastic change. We bought a large SUV, sold all our belongings, packed up the dogs and some clothes and headed west. Travelling for ~2 years while staying in short-term rentals, working remotely and travelling through western Canada, Florida and even Saint Lucia! Eventually, we couldn't stand living in "other people's" homes any longer and upgraded to a truck + travel trailer and have now been nomads with a "home" we bring with us! We just wrapped up the most ambitious road trip of our lives, from Key West, Florida, to Tuktoyaktuk, NWT, at the Arctic Ocean! This series follows our wild journey north with weekly travel vlogs, campground experiences, behind-the-scenes RV life, and more! Now we are planning to travel through Vancouver Island for the winter and then continue exploring more of Canada! We are incredibly grateful for all of you here to support our journey.
