A male public elementary school teacher in Tokyo has been arrested for allegedly secretly filming under the shorts of his students. According to investigators, the arrested man is Yu Sugino (39), a public elementary school teacher in Tokyo. He is suspected of using his smartphone to film under the shorts of four female students, aged 8 to 12 at the time, between 2017 and 2018. Sugino allegedly called one of the female students (then 11 years old) under the pretense of physical education instruction, had her perform a "bridge" exercise, and filmed her. He has reportedly admitted to the charges. Sugino's involvement came to light last month when the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department seized his smartphone in connection with a suspected case of secretly filming a female junior high school student on a street in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo.
