FORMER CENTRAL BANK MANAGER ARRESTED IN ₹3.23 CRORE FRAUD CASE

Itanagar, July 24: Capital Police have arrested former Central Bank of India, Ganga Branch Manager Vivoto V. Zimo for allegedly cheating beneficiaries of the Atmanirbhar Pashupalan Yojana (ANPPY) and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana (DDUSY). Police said the investigation, which began after a complaint on July 9, has so far identified 18 victims, with the total alleged fraud amounting to ₹3.23 crore. The accused was arrested from Dimapur, Nagaland, on July 15. According to police, the accused allegedly misused pre-signed withdrawal slips to siphon off loan and subsidy funds, routing the money through multiple bank accounts before investing it in cryptocurrency and the stock market. The investigation is ongoing, and Capital Police have appealed to other possible victims to come forward with relevant documents.
