Poker Face (arr. Scott Turner, BBS 2012) - Buckeye Boys State Band (2019) Our Band is comprised of approximately 140 young men selected to be delegates to Buckeye Boys State (BBS), a youth civics and leadership program administered by the Ohio American Legion. The members of the Band are complete strangers from every corner of the state who perform service and program music for daily assemblies and special events at the 8-day program. Because of BBS’s full schedule, each member of the band commits to short daily practices and all the songs you see and hear are performed with less than 30 minutes of practice beforehand. The experience of playing in the BBS Band is a uniquely rigorous and transformative one that is the highlight of each band member’s BBS experience.
