The floor is, if not the most, then certainly one of the most complex finishing elements. And floor insulation is a whole other story. After all, it must combine strength and solidity while also being airtight. 100mm of penoplex foam is equivalent to 200mm of polystyrene foam, and if you don't leave any voids between the sheets and the walls, but thoroughly foam everything, this insulation will provide a good thermal envelope. It will retain heat perfectly even in Siberian frosts. And the vapor barrier (5mm foil insulation) will prevent warm air from escaping beyond the boundaries of your loggia. For a durable floor framework, we use 18mm thick moisture-resistant FSF plywood. We've been using this material for several years now on both warm loggias and cold balconies.
