HAUENSTEIN 🇨🇭 | National Historical Relevance | WW1 DEFENCE LINE

📖 Description: This video documents parts of the former Swiss WW1 frontier defence system in the Hauenstein region. During the First World War, observation positions, trenches, machine gun shelters and defensive strongpoints were established to protect strategically important routes through the Jura Mountains. The video follows several surviving elements of this historic defence line, including panoramic observation points, artillery positions, defensive structures, trench systems and connecting trails between key military locations. Unlike traditional tourist attractions, this site is presented primarily for its historical significance.
