The land dispute in Agalakote village of Malur taluk in Kolar district is now a matter of political and public debate. Many allegations, counter-allegations and various types of information are circulating about this land. Meanwhile, social activist Siddharth Anand has tried to present the chronology of events to the public based on available documents and history. According to available information, Gangappa had purchased this land in 1944. Later, in 1955, Gangappa's son T.G. Srinivasalu is said to have donated 51 acres of land to the government under the Vidyadana-Bhoodana Yojana through a donation deed. However, Siddharth Anand mentions the fact that Srinivasalu did not have any property in his name at the time of writing the donation deed. Due to this, he is of the opinion that questions arise about the validity of the donation deed. After Gangappa's death in 1956, the property rights were transferred to his heirs. Later, in 1957, records indicate that T.G. Srinivasalu sold 17 acres of land to Siddappa. After the Inam Abolition Act came into force in 1959, the land in question came under the control of the government and was later re-granted. It is said that the Education Department had not submitted any application for the school at that time, and as a result, a total of 209 acres of land was re-granted. The 17 acres of land sold to Siddappa was re-granted in 1960. Later, in 1970, it is learnt that Siddappa sold the same land to Srinivasalu's son Suresh. In 1971, the property was divided among Gangappa's 12 children, and T.G. Srinivasalu died in 1987. Later, during 1996–97, this land was transferred to Krishnappa's name through purchase. Later, in 2024, a private company purchased the land from Krishnappa. Currently, various allegations and misinformation are being made regarding this purchase. In this context, it is necessary for the public to check official documents, court orders and relevant government documents to understand the truth before believing any information.
