Slow Food Farms in Uganda: Our Response to the Environmental Crisis
We delve into the Slow Food Farms project, a global network that unites farmers committed to agroecological transition in response to the climate and environmental crisis. We will feature Slow Food Farms from different parts of the world, showcasing how agroecological practices can thrive in diverse ecosystems and social contexts. We begin our journey with Alwana Natural Farm, located in the Mukono District of Uganda—a beautiful tropical farm run by the family of our president, Edward Mukiibi. Together, we'll discover how sustainable agriculture can serve as an effective model for a greener future. Pictures and videos related to this story are part of a joint campaign by Slow Food and TerraProject Photographers, a collective of documentary photographers founded in Italy in 2006. Its members are Michele Borzoni, Simone Donati, Pietro Paolini, and Rocco Rorandelli. With a focus on both Italian realities and the most pressing social and environmental issues, the members of TerraProject have produced numerous individual and group projects, experimenting with an original collective approach to storytelling.
