Vladimir "MVPDaminianLillard" Fedoseyev is back in the race – for 3000 on Chess.com. His first attempt wasn't exactly a flop: after just over four hours, he only managed 2341! While Mamedyarov got a 2000 rating in his first attempt and had to restart from 800, Fedoseyev went to the other extreme, starting from 400. It turns out Chess.com has those ratings too! Moreover, one of the first games was against a player with a rating of 385. Climbing back from such a low is incredibly difficult, and we'll definitely add an extra hour to the grandmaster's 7:38:30 remaining for his extra time. In any case, Vladimir will have to catch up – both with Shakhriyar (he has a rating of 2435) and with himself. But he's always been particularly good at this!
