Terrifying Moment Avalanche Slams Train in the Swiss Alps

A tourist captured the dramatic moment an avalanche thundered down a mountainside and struck a train traveling through the Swiss Alps on February 17. Kirsten Osborne, an Australian living in the UK, said the train was near Zermatt in Switzerland’s Valais canton when it was engulfed in powdery snow, with a child heard saying “uh-oh” in the footage as the avalanche hit.
