The Dr. Z Z-80 is Mike’s “legacy” amp and a project 6 years in the making. His goal was to transform the uber-rare Vox AC80 into a tour-ready resurrected rock-n-roll machine. And he succeeded! This particular amp was hand built by the Doc himself and offers a unique contribution to the classic British chime tone we know and love. And now, you can have it on your HELIX! This Line 6 HELIX preset for HELIX Floor and HX Stomp includes both humbucker and single coil variations as well as presets that feature the Benson Chimera and the Z-80 in stereo! It uses our proprietary Tone Matching process which yields an amp/IR combo that sounds nearly identical to the original amp. It's a full all-in-one solution for worship and beyond. Use it standalone for a variety of songs or as a template to be copy-pasted and tweaked to fit individual song-specific presets.
