🐎 Horseback Riding Through Ecuador’s Andes Mountains | Facing My Fear at Cotopaxi National Park! 🌋 In this adventure vlog, I take on one of my biggest fears—riding a horse through the breathtaking Andes Mountains of Ecuador! As someone who has always been nervous around horses, this experience pushed me far outside my comfort zone, but the incredible scenery made every moment worth it. This horseback riding tour took place in Cotopaxi National Park, one of Ecuador’s most spectacular natural destinations. The park is named after Cotopaxi, one of the world’s highest active volcanoes, standing at over 5,800 meters (19,300 feet). Established in 1975, the park protects vast high-altitude grasslands known as páramo ecosystems and provides stunning views of snow-capped volcanic peaks. I booked this experience through El Day Tour, expecting a typical group excursion. To my surprise, I ended up on what felt like a private tour! While the rest of the group headed in a different direction, I found myself riding through the Andes with my guide, surrounded by incredible landscapes and towering volcanoes. The tour also included lunch, making the experience even better than I expected. Along the way, I learned that Ecuador is one of the most volcanically active countries in the world. The country has approximately 84 volcanoes, including active, dormant, and extinct volcanic formations. Many of them are located along the famous “Avenue of the Volcanoes,” a region that stretches through the Ecuadorian Andes and features some of South America's most impressive peaks. From overcoming my fear of horses to exploring one of Ecuador’s most iconic national parks, this turned out to be an unforgettable adventure.
