As we arrived at the beach early in the morning, we saw a group of local fishermen preparing a huge fishing net right on the shore. With expert coordination, they cast this massive net into the sea, even as the monsoon waves crashed in. The scene was incredible — a mix of skill, strength, and teamwork. Once the net was fully spread out in the water, all the men formed a long line and began to pull the net back toward the shore, inch by inch. The process was slow and labor-intensive, but there was a sense of rhythm and tradition in the way they worked together. As the net came closer to the beach, the excitement grew. You could see small fish jumping in the net, birds flying overhead, and curious onlookers — including us — watching closely to see the day’s catch.
