【仙台/空撮記録】震災から15年 藤塚地区のいま

ここは、仙台市若林区の藤塚地区。 かつてこの場所には、名取川河口に面した集落がありました。 2011年3月11日の東日本大震災では、大津波により大きな被害を受け、震災後は防災集団移転の対象となりました。 その後、藤塚地区には温泉・飲食・マルシェなどを備えた複合施設「アクアイグニス仙台」が2022年に開業。 さらに周辺では、貞山運河や井土浦の自然環境を活かした海岸公園の整備も進められてきました。 貞山運河を挟んで海側に広がる湿地は「井土浦」と呼ばれ、名取川河口部左岸に位置する汽水域です。ヨシ原などの湿地環境が残り、環境省の「日本の重要湿地500」にも選定されています。 震災の記憶を残しながら、自然と人のつながりを取り戻し、新たな賑わいを生み出そうとしている藤塚地区。 変わりゆくこの風景を、空から記録しました。 -- This is the Fujitsuka district in Wakabayashi Ward, Sendai. This area was once home to a settlement facing the mouth of the Natori River. On March 11, 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake and the subsequent tsunami caused severe damage to the district, and after the disaster, the community became subject to a collective relocation project for disaster prevention. In 2022, AQUAIGNIS SENDAI, a complex facility featuring hot springs, restaurants, and a market, opened in the Fujitsuka district. In the surrounding area, the development of coastal parks has also been progressing, making use of the natural environment of the Teizan Canal and Idoura. The wetland located on the ocean side across the Teizan Canal is called Idoura. It is a brackish wetland situated on the left bank of the Natori River estuary, where reed beds and other wetland environments still remain. Idoura has also been selected as one of Japan’s 500 Important Wetlands by the Ministry of the Environment. While preserving the memory of the disaster, the Fujitsuka district is gradually restoring the connection between nature and people, and creating new forms of liveliness.
