There couldn’t have been a better way to begin this new chapter than exploring the Himalayas in our brand-new Fortuner Legender. However, before heading into extreme winter terrain, there was something important to take care of. The vehicle had just completed 1,000 kilometers, and as per the recommended guidelines from Toyota, the first service at 1,000 km is mandatory. For a journey as demanding as Winter Spiti, skipping it simply wasn’t an option. So we made a planned stop in Shimla to complete the first service before continuing further into the mountains. Ensuring the car was in perfect condition gave us the confidence to tackle snow-covered roads, sub-zero temperatures, and high-altitude challenges safely.
