Perhaps it was the hotel restaurant Evropeiskaya to Leningrad (hotel where lived Elton John and Ray Cooper during the Soviet tour in 1979) 21-28 May 1979 Elton John was invited by the Soviet Ministry of Culture and gave 8 concerts in Leningrad and Moscow. Elton John was the first Western rock star, who gave a concert in the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
