Esto No es Una Broma

If you take a classic of literature… and slap an anime character on it… it seems like a joke. But sometimes, strangely enough… it works. A while ago I came across an account called Anime Ibérico that mixes classic book covers with anime and manga characters. And while many are absurd, meme-like, or downright ridiculous… others achieve something interesting. Because in the end, most of us know these works not from having read them… but from the mental image we have of them. The “Western canon.” Required high school books. Gigantic stories transformed into symbols, memories, and cultural stereotypes. And I suppose this video is also a bit about that: reinterpreting stories, mixing references, and connecting the things we're passionate about with others that perhaps never interested us that much. Thanks to Anime Ibérico for the memes and the creativity. I've included their profile below. 🎨 Iberian Anime: https://x.com/AnimeIberico   / animeiberico   Music used in the video: -Donkey Kong Country 2 - Stickerbush Symphony -Nostalgia (Blue.P) - LogSquare -Mitsuboshi Colors OST - Saito is being bullied -DOOMROAR - The Discovery (feat.
