"Crises, Systems and Economic Growth"- Leszek Balcerowicz

On December 7, 2015, Leszek Balcerowicz, who is credited with leading Poland's successful transition from communism to capitalism, delivered the lecture, "Crises, Systems and Economic Growth." The event was sponsored by The Central European Institute at Quinnipiac University. A professor at the Warsaw School of Economics, Balcerowicz wrote the economic reforms in Poland after 1989, which are widely credited with Poland's economic success today. Balcerowicz has served Poland as deputy prime minister, minister of finance and president of the National Bank. He has received more than 30 honorary degrees from universities worldwide. He is the author of more than 100 publications on economic topics.
