We start our walk in the quiet village of Barley, in Pendle. There's a pay & display carpark, but if you arrive early enough, you might be able to grab yourself some free parking outside of the carpark, down one of the side roads. There's also: toilet facilities a cafe called the cabin, open around 9.30/10am. Pendle Inn, a pub just down the road from the carpark. Pendle Hill is a fantastic walk, here on the outskirts of the Forest of Bowland, Lancashire. The initial hill climb is quite tough, but if you just take your time, it's totally worth it for the views from the top! Our route takes the more scenic descent down a valley alongside Ogden Clough, passing both upper and lower Ogden reservoirs, before returning to the starting point in beautiful Barley, Pendle.
