God doesn't seek perfect people; He seeks hearts willing to obey Him. Throughout the Bible, we see that the Lord is pleased with those who love Him, honor Him, and walk in His ways. God is pleased when His children have humble hearts, because He gives grace to the humble and opposes the proud. He is pleased with obedience, for obedience is worth more than any sacrifice. He also delights in faith, because without faith it is impossible to please Him. The Lord rejoices when His children live in love, forgive as they have been forgiven, and show mercy to those around them. He is pleased with the sincerity of a heart that seeks His presence each day, that prays, studies His Word, and trusts in Him even in the midst of trials. God is also pleased when we bear fruit: when our actions reflect the character of Christ, when we are light in the darkness and bring hope to those who need it. Today, ask yourself: Is my life pleasing to God? Beyond words, He looks at the heart. If you choose to walk with Him, obey Him, and remain faithful, you will be living a life that honors the Father. “For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he gives victory to the humble.” (Psalm 149:4)
