Times Square, Fort Myers Beach
The iconic clock at Times Square, which was destroyed by Hurricane Ian, has been replaced. However, the Greek restaurant, Top 'O Mast, and other buildings nearest the water are gone and will not be rebuilt. Instead, the vacant spaces have been taken by food truck operators. Still missing-- the restrooms and outdoor shower. You would think that this would have been among the first things replaced, but evidently the City of Fort Myers Beach cannot afford to replace these basic facilities. Same story at the north end of the island, where 3 years after Ian the toilets still aren't fixed.
