From taxi driver to mansion owner: How a suspected fraudster built an empire | ABC News
The ABC can reveal federal authorities are investigating a Melbourne man they suspect of defrauding millions of dollars from the NDIS plans of vulnerable people. Khawaja Moeen Haroon and his network have allegedly coerced people with disabilities into their care, while leaving some living in squalid conditions. Despite being investigated since mid-2023, NDIS participants have been allowed to continue signing up with companies linked to him. Mr Haroon denies the allegations and says he is assisting authorities.
