¿Chilapa ya está bajo control? Despliegan operativo masivo tras ola de violencia en Guerrero

The federal government assumed operational control of Chilapa, Guerrero, after several days of violence, roadblocks, and displacement caused by clashes between criminal groups in the lower mountain region. With support from the Mexican Army, the National Guard, and state police, authorities deployed a large security operation to reopen highways, assist displaced families, and restore access to communities affected by the armed attacks. The deployment included more than 1,000 security personnel, helicopters, ambulances, and medical staff, as well as the establishment of a Command Center in Chilpancingo to coordinate actions in the area. The intervention comes amid reports from residents of drone attacks, the burning of homes, and armed assaults attributed to criminal groups engaged in a fierce dispute for control of Guerrero.
