La Danza Tinku (Carnaval Andino de Arica)

Tinku is a folk dance characterized by combat movements and a strong drum beat. The word "tinku" comes from Quechua and means "encounter." Tinku is an ancient dance originating from northern Bolivia, near Potosí. @wayrakuti Tinku has become a cultural dance throughout Bolivia. It is performed at important festivals such as the Oruro Carnival.
