Our devotional journey asks the question: What is my stewardship revealing about my heart? In this Bible study, we will examine another difficult question: Why is pride so hard to see in ourselves? Pride is not merely thinking too highly of ourselves. Pride is the heart’s resistance to truth when truth threatens the image we want to preserve. Through the stories of Saul and David, we will examine the difference between defensiveness and repentance, excuse-making and honesty, and the kind of heart that can still be corrected by God.
