Song: BINI "Unang Kilig" "Unang Kilig" -- which translates roughly to the butterflies you feel in your stomach the first time you see someone you like -- is exactly the kind of piece that sounds simple until you watch it closely. The song has this 80s/90s city pop quality, breezy and warm, and the choreography sits right inside that without fighting it. BINI has a way of making everything look natural and effortless, and this piece is a solid example of why that's not as easy as it looks. -Literal choreography that doesn't read as corny: BINI consistently incorporates gestures that match the lyrics in very direct, on-the-nose ways -- and somehow it never feels cheesy. The subtlety in how they execute it is what saves it. That balance is harder to pull off than most people realize. -The diagonal formations are clean: Diagonals are one of the most unforgiving formations to hit mid-routine.
