Our First Week in China 🇨🇳 Guilin & Kunming Travel Vlog

Our first week in China was pretty intense. We arrived at the start of May—right in the middle of Labour Day Golden Week, one of the busiest travel periods in the country. Trains were packed, cities were buzzing, and we were thrown straight into the deep end. To escape the chaos, we made our way to Guilin, hoping to recharge and explore some of China’s most iconic natural landscapes. I also attempted a trail run in the mountains—which turned into a very wet, very sketchy mission thanks to the weather. Next, we headed to Kunming, known as the City of Eternal Spring. We explored both the ancient and modern sides of the city—from the peaceful streets and temples of Guandu Ancient Town, to the vibrant Green Lake Park, full of tea houses, bonsai gardens, and locals going about their day.
