Since it had been 4 years since this split leaf philodendron was repotted, I figured it would be a good example to use. Turned out it wasn't really root bound, soil hadn't broken down much and the plants roots weren't drastically coming out of the top and bottom of the pot. However, the growth of the plant had drastically stalled, so despite not having the best visuals to explain all of the things to look at for a plant that needs repotting, it still needed to be done. The other main point of the video, just having a look at a plant that has been around the channel and in many videos over the years. The split leaf philodendron is now classified as Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum, so it's not longer a philodendron.
