Ajahn Suchin: This is an extremely difficult thing for people to understand, but this is the most correct understanding: "Before, it wasn't about letting go." It takes time to "understand enough to let go," to realize that what is truly important to understand is that what exists now is impermanent, that "it's not us." They have to strive and try until their wisdom gradually functions to know the true purpose.
