For sale! The S124 3.4 AMG is a rare, pre-merger (independent AMG, before Mercedes absorbed the company) tuner conversion of the W124-generation E-Class estate/wagon, badged as the 300TE-24 3.4 AMG. Engine: AMG took the factory 3.0L DOHC 24-valve M104 inline-six and bored and stroked it out to 3.4 liters, extracting around 200kW/272 hp It came with a factory-style option code — option code 990, denoting the car was destined for its AMG conversion from new, sent to Affalterbach for the work. Visually it got the full AMG body kit — front air dam, side skirts, and rear bumper. The wagon body (S124) is considered the rarest of the 3.4 AMG variants — of all 124 chassis 3.4 AMG versions, the wagon is reportedly the most rare. the coupe version (300CE-24 AMG 3.4) is documented as one of just 50 examples converted to AMG 3.4 specification between 1988 and 1993 — the wagon count is even smaller, but not exactly known.
