Sugar-Tong Splint - Easy Application
It is very important that the initial splint is applied correctly at the ER or Urgent Care. Patients are usually referred to an orthopedic doctor, sometimes the doctor will continue the care in a splint to allow for swelling to minimize. If the splint is incorrectly applied or insufficient, they will replace it with a new one. The patient will be charged for another splint! We have created easy to follow professionally made videos. These videos have pearls from over 50 combined years of orthopedic experience. We have created many of our own techniques that simplify the process. For our splint videos we use a stockinette as a base layer. If you prefer to just use soft roll directly onto the skin, you can follow instructions the same without using a stockinette. https://medcastspecialists.com
