다리 내려앉고 도로 부서지고...호우 피해 속출 / YTN
■ Hosts: Anchor Lee Se-na, Anchor Na Kyung-chul ■ Guest: Kim Cheol-hee, Reporter, Social Affairs Department The text below may differ from the actual broadcast content. Please refer to the broadcast for more accurate information. When citing, please specify [YTN News Square 2PM]. [Anchor] Damage has occurred in various parts of the country due to the recent monsoon rains. Bridges have collapsed, and asphalt on some roads has shattered into pieces. We will examine the video footage sent to YTN with our reporter. Reporter Kim Cheol-hee from the Social Affairs Department is here. Welcome. I hear that reports of damage from the heavy rain are continuously coming into YTN? [Reporter] That is correct. I will explain the situation by region as we look at the footage from the received reports. First, the damage was concentrated in the Chungcheong and Daejeon areas. You are currently watching footage from the Seo-gu area of Daejeon. This is a view of Yudeung Bridge in Daejeon. This video was filmed by the informant using a drone, and you can see the bridge has slightly sunk downwards. We are now showing footage filmed from above, which is a bit clearer. It is clearly evident that there is a difference in elevation, and as you can see, vehicle traffic is currently being restricted. The next footage is also from Daejeon. It is Gajeong Bridge in Jung-gu, Daejeon, about 3 kilometers away. The water has risen so high that the bridge piers are no longer visible. If you look at the trees, only the tops are barely visible. The video also captures citizens looking at the riverbank with worried expressions; their concern over the rapidly rising water is clearly evident. It is coming up now. [Anchor] The current is quite strong, too. [Reporter] That is correct. The next footage is also from Daejeon. This time, it is a report received via photo. It is said to be National Route 4 near Bangdong Reservoir in Daejeon, where traffic was disrupted due to a landslide. The road is completely blocked, and as you can see, all the cars have come to a halt. Some drivers even got out of their vehicles. In such cases, injuries can actually occur, but fortunately, there were no casualties. [Anchor] You have just covered the damage situation in the Daejeon area. We connected with Reporter Kim Ki-soo earlier, and I understand that the damage in the Chungnam region was also very severe. [Reporter] That is correct. There was talk of casualties earlier regarding Chungnam, particularly in Seocheon-gun. It appears the damage was extensive. The footage you just saw is reportedly from near the Seocheon Tollgate in Chungnam. Since the informant filmed it from above, the overall extent of the damage in the surrounding area is clearly visible. You can see that almost everything, except for the road sections, is submerged in muddy water due to the sudden rain. [Anchor] It really is a sea of water. [Reporter] That is correct. You can see parked cars, but only the tops are slightly visible, so the damage appears to be quite extensive. If you look at the next video, it is also from the Seocheon-gun area. Village roads throughout the area have been devastated by the mudslides. Although it is a road, it appears that most lanes have been closed due to the mud. Shortly after, the footage captured trees spilling onto the road, and our video clearly shows cars passing precariously nearby because of this. The next video is also from Seocheon-gun, South Chungcheong Province. It shows the asphalt on the road completely shattered into pieces, presumably due to rain damage. It looks like the driver of this vehicle filmed this themselves while sending the report. [Anchor] I can feel the car jolting. [Reporter] That is correct. It is barely making its way out of the road in a precarious manner, and a white car like that is passing by right next to it, and it is the same...
