Filmed on Monday, October 21 2024, I drive around Covington, KY to see what's going on. The city is named for General Leonard Covington who was killed during The War of 1812. In the 1800s, Covington prospered as an emporium for Kentucky's tobacco and cigar production. By 1900, Covington was the 2nd largest city in Kentucky, with a population of 43,000. After the Great Depression the city declined in importance but has undergone much redevelopment since the late 90s and into the 2000s.
