2023 Matric Results | Prof Mary Metcalfe weighs in on IEB pass rate
The Independent Examinations Board (IEB) has achieved yet another remarkable overall pass rate of 98-point-46% in the 2023 National Senior Certificate examinations. The pass rate is slightly higher than the 2022 NSC pass rate of 98-point-42%. All candidates who passed the IEB 2023 NSC examination achieved a pass that grants access to tertiary study. 15 180 candidates wrote the Independent Examinations Board NSC examinations. IEB CEO Confidence Dikgole says the impressive performance of the class of 2023 reflects the dedication and tenacity of both learners and the entire teaching community.
