They Only Had Half of the Source Material! | How Sonic the Comic Adapted Sonic 3
Sonic the Comic would follow the games' approach when it came to adapting Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, splitting the story into two arcs that were told months apart. The Sonic 3 part of the tale started before Sonic & Knuckles had released, however. That gave writer Nigel Kitching and artist Richard Elson a challenge, how do you adapt something when you only have access to half of the source material? Their solution was, in my opinion, pretty clever, making for a thoroughly entertaining read!
