The sūrah takes its name from the mention of the parties (al-aḥzāb), or confederates, who fought the Muslims at the Battle of the Trench (5/627), also known as the Battle of the Parties and as the siege of Madinah. Saba’ (Arabic: سبأ‎, saba’; from the city called "Sheba") is the 34th chapter (sūrah) of the Qur'an with 54 verses (āyāt). It discusses the lives of Solomon and David, a story about the people of Sheba, challenges, and warnings against the disbelievers as well as the promises related to the Day of Judgment. Regarding the timing and contextual background of the revelation (asbāb al-nuzūl), it is an earlier "Meccan surah", which means it has been revealed in Mecca, instead of later in Medina. Yā Sīn is the 36th sūrah of the Quran. It has 83 verses (āyāt). It is regarded as an earlier "Meccan surah". Some scholars maintain that verse 12 is from the Medinan period.
