If you grew up in Ireland in the 80's and 90's you may be familiar with this quintessential seasonal cake with its kitsch plastic decorations, and the rich speckled cake hidden within the lashings of sweet snowy icing. This video is a little different than my usual cooking/baking videos, and includes a wonderful misty December walk around the farm with the kitties before we head to the farmhouse kitchen to start making the festive cake.
