Contax 167MT Review
Camera specifications: http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/Contax_167MT Some pictures I took with this camera (spread in the photostream): https://www.flickr.com/photos/1445571... Really nice overview of this camera (with which I agree): https://sites.google.com/site/timroge... STUFF I FORGOT TO SAY: Viewfinder provides selected aperture and shutter speed inside, at the top. LCD display at the top left part of the camera is really nice. The camera uses 4 AAA batteries. These imply more weight than regular S76 batteries but are more easily found anywhere. I usually prefer cameras with mechanical shutters, as I consider them to be more reliable in case of malfunction (as in easier to repair), but this Contax has convinced me that electronic cameras are a boon for the user. I would still not invest hundreds on an electronic film camera body, though. I see no reason to use this camera in Manual Mode unless you use it, as I have read that operating it is cumbersome that way. I may have come a bit harsh on the Planar 50mm 1.7. It is a great lens but I do not see the "Zeiss" magic some people rave about. Let me know your thoughts on this camera and lens, as well on the whole C/Y mount in general.
