Only one person is actually inside the apartment building. Furthermore, the only escape route, the stairwell, is filled with smoke. She has to stay in her apartment until the fire department arrives. Upon arrival, the firefighters quickly enter the basement. The labyrinthine rooms make it difficult to find the source of the fire. It's foggy and there's a smell of burning in the air. The emergency responders identify a homemade photovoltaic system as the source of the smoke.
